Hope in Nigeria; Our wealthy place.
Many Nigerians have lost hope, hope that Nigeria can be among the great, or even the greatest country on earth, well, I haven't.
I do not hold anything against Nigerians who no longer believe in our country, haven seen our hope made alive by several successive governments and vision cast, yet continually dashed. However, I seek to draw the attention of Nigerians who have lost hope to the fact that the greatness of our country doesn't lie in any government we have had, have or will ever have, but in the firm decision of each and every Nigerian to make this country great.
If we all realize this, perhaps we can get our hope, for those who have lost it, rekindled, seeing that the energy of our hope is not in government policies but in our firm and unshakable decision to build a great country. Now is the time for us to stop playing the blame game and making every other person responsible for our collective failure but us.
Now is the time for us to get to the business of nation building from wherever we are, and not live it in the hands of a collective few, who are, or at least act as though they are clueless about what governance should be, and then blame them for their gross incompetence and failure.
Now is the time for us to get involved, ask questions and demand answers from those whom we have called to serve, and not be afraid to ask them to take a bow when they fail in their responsibilities and replace them with others who have competence, character and capacity.
I ask everyone who is hopeful in the great future of this country and everyone who wants to be hopeful but doesn't have a reason to be, to join me as we collectively make our hope alive, for those who are hopeful, and discover reasons to be hopeful for those who need one, until we all become incurable optimists in the awesome destiny of our country and work together to make Nigeria our wealthy place NOW!
